Jazzfest Set Ups

Some of my favorite memories with Uncle Dennis include New Orleans Jazzfest! It is one of my favorite events in New Orleans. He was one of the head guys in charge and really pushed me to work and volunteer with him before the fest. One of my favorite memories was us driving in a golf cart around the fairgrounds. We were some of the only people there. It was quiet and so fun to see all of the set up before the festival began. We would go set up fire extinguishers on the stages and be able to look out on what would be a large crowd in the upcoming days.  It’s something I hope to never forget.

Jazzfest will not be the same without seeing him at Barn 11 when we go to escape the rain or sun. I’ll think of him everytime I look at my jazzfest posters hanging in my house. I love you, Uncle Dennis!

  1. I looked forward to seeing Dennis every year at da Fest. He was the nicest guy and very kind to me. Jazz Fest won’t be the same without him. I will miss him and his smile, dearly.

  2. Not sure what niece or nephew wrote the above comment , very kind indeed. He was happy to share his Jazz fest experiences with others.
